The Court affirmed an order of the Commission authorizing Pacific Telephone & Telegraph Co. to provide tariffed mobile telephone communications systems.  Petitioners argued that the Commission did not have jurisdiction over such systems and that the filed tariff created a conflict with federal law and with the provisions of the 1956 federal court consent decree in United States v. Western Electric.
