The Court concluded that the Legislature could constitutionally subject publicly owned common carriers such as petitioner to the jurisdiction of the Commission and that, accordingly, a statute subjecting petitioner to the jurisdiction of the Commission “with respect to safety rules . . .” was constitutional.  The Court then affirmed an order of the Commission compelling petitioner to comply with the same safety rules and regulations that the Commission adopted for privately owned passenger stage corporations and street railroad corporations.
